McDonald's Singapore: Digital Signage-Based Interactive Community Overview



 

At-Life, a Singapore-based content provider, launched a high-quality digital-signage network across 127 McDonald’s Singapore restaurants. C-nario and partner ABI provided a unique messaging, advertising and interactive experience, creating a compelling ambiance, encouraging interactive communications and creating targeted digital signge platforms for advertisers, creating a dynamic marketing channel.

Objectives
Create a vibrant community, enhance restaurant ambiance,increase brand awareness and revenues through advertisements, while engaging customers and creating an interactive community.

Description
Driven by ABI Digital and C-nario, At-Life deployed an interactive digital signage network providing an engaging community environment.
Video feed, indoor-advertisement signage, still images, news tickers and live sports events are synchronized over 42-inch displays in better-than-broadcast quality. Visitors interact and send classified ads featured on running tickers throughout the network via text-messages or using touch-screen interactive multimedia kiosks.

Challenges
Run HD content while incorporating live feeds, interactive in-store kiosk stations and integrated SMS. A major challenge was integrating multiple technologies while running a variety of content sources. As the network grows to 500 venues, managing and monitoring also become a major challenge.

Solution
C-nario’s digital signage platform offered the most economical and cost-effective solution to integrate multiple technologies onto one platform. C-nario's solution integrated directly into the customers’ workflow for comprehensive scheduling, monitoring and reporting from a single central location.

Results
The installation successfully promoted a vibrant sense of community while generating brand affinity. Sales revenue increased resulted from targeted and dynamic advertising and increased product sales.
